AKRONSuicide at stadiumAKRON: Authorities say the body of a 22-year-old man, who apparently committed suicide by shooting himself, was found in the stands at the InfoCision football stadium at the University of Akron Saturday morning. Greg Bach, director of sports information at the university, said a Akron U UA staffer found the body at 10 a.m. before the kickoff of a 3 p.m. game against Ohio University. The game was played as scheduled. Akron U University of Akron spokeswoman Laura Massey said police told her the death appears to be a suicide, but no other details were given. The man’s name has not been released, pending notification of the family.Massey said the man was a former UA student. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.Motorcycle crashAKRON: Akron police are investigating a motorcycle fatality on East Market Street in front of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. headquarters Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver was going west on East Market Street about 2 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle. He died in the accident.His passenger was injured and treated at Summa Akron City Hospital.
